Company
777 Main Street, Suite 211
Durango, CO 81301
RE: Completeness for Permit Application C-92-079 Coal Gulch
Dear Mr. Baker:
On August 4, 1992, the Division submitted to Pennsylvania West
the reasons why the permit as submitted was incomplete.
Basically it boiled down to needing the geochemistry of three
core samples for roof, coal, and floor material and the ground
water analysis for each of aquifers/formations. Greg Lewicki's
December 14, 1992 letter to the Division has the locations of the
core sites and wells which we concur with- As the Division has
stated to you on several occasions, baseline data must be
submitted prior to calling the permit application complete,
thereby starting the review process.
As soon as Pennsylvania West submits the geochemistry of the two
core samples as stated above and in Mr. Lewicki's letter, and the
Division receives the ground water analysis of the ground water
encountered in these two wells, then the Division will
immediately call the application complete and the review process
can begin.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call or
write.
Sincerely,
~~~~~
Harry Ranney
Reclamation Specia ist
HR/ern
M:\oss\ern\baker
