<br /> <br />=: <br />II. Geology <br />~y <br />~~. <br />.~ ~' <br />A geologi~~ cross-section through Pit 4 is attached. There are five <br />coal seams and all are defined to be Riders of the Pinnacle Coal Seam. <br />The top rider is not mined since it is too oxidized. Rider 5 does not <br />show up throughout Pit 4 and is not always mined. <br />An overburden and interburden sample which combined the interburdens <br />between Riders 1,2,3,4 & 5 were earlier submitted. <br />The maximum highwall occurs near the west side of Pit 4 and is about 59' <br />The absolute maximum depth (from the surface) is 63'. <br />One electric and one lithologic log are attached. Both these logs <br />were from holes at Pit 4. <br />
