<br />VII. Alluvial Valley Floors <br />The Rockcastle Company has concluded that since "the AVF is undeveloped <br />rangeland and no impacts to the alluvial valley floor are aniticpated <br />to result from approval of the mining operation", that no further effort <br />will be expended to try to convince the Division that no alluvial valley <br />' floor exists near the Grassy Gap Coal ~1ine. <br />The original work on AVF's was done over three years ago, and the 1980 <br />reconnaissance map and text have been misplaced. If the Division still <br />needs these for any reason, The Rockcaslte Company will try to reconstruct <br />them from records that are now fairly incomplete. But since The Rock- <br />castle Company is no longer contesting the existence of an AVF, it was <br />felt not necessary to reconstruct the map and text. <br />
