i - i
•
Tom Gillis
October 29, 1981
Page 2
•
3. Attempt recovery of the coal between 5 East rooms and
4 East rooms. Possibly rectangular pillars rather than
the 80' x 80' C.L. pillars will be developed. This
concept is discussed briefly in the permit application.
4. Start development oC 4 East rooms. Seeps 1. to 4 would
then repeat.
Mining should be limited to the coal between 5 East rooms and
3 East rooms or possibly just below 3 East room.: during the three
months the Technical Revision is in affect (November 1981 to January 1982).
Without secondary mining, work would proceed through 2 East and
1 East rooms due to lower coal recovery percentage (2 East and 1 East
roams would be located proportionally down the existing north five entry
system).
Coal north of crosscut 25 (see Clio attachment) is not considered
abandoned. Blue Ribbon will attempt Co reach this area through 3rd North,
the planned development west of the current north development. Utilizing
an approach from shallower cover, additional mining experience, and an
improved mining plan based on experience, this coal should be recoverable.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Si.ncerel,o yours,
ln~,Q.F.~4.;.
