-2-
Hourly Equipment Costs:
•
The hourly equipment rates provided should be amended to follow standardized
equipment rental rate procedures, rental rate blue book method. The blue book
method considers the appropriate rental rate basis (monthly, weekly, daily,
hourly), regional adjustments, operating cost per hour and operator cost per
hour. The labor rate provided appears low and should be adjusted to reflect
current medium equipment operator costs. This information can be obtained
from the Means Building Construction Cost Date for 1985.
Miscellaneous Costs:
The exploration permit revision request should be amended to include all
appropriate mobilization/demobilization costs as well as estimated contractors
overhead and profit. Overhead and profit expenses include such items as
builders risk insurance, public liability insurance, workman's compensation,
contractor's performance bond, MLRD project oversite, contractor's
supervision, estimated profit, and preliminary architectural/engineering fees
(for preparation and processing of bid documents).
/fw
Doc. 6885
