PROJECT WATER REQUIREMENTS
The mining operation will require 10,000 gallons per day,
almost all of which will be used to water down haul roads and
the rest at the office and shop. Domestic water will be
stored in a tank beside the office.
Water is provided from an existing well drilled persuant to a
water right obtained in Colorado Water Case Number ~9CW226.
WATER RIGHTS
There are no surface water rights on Mann Draw listed in the
State Engineer's Office Stream Alpha listing. The first right
downstream of the Bourg property is at the Stillwater Ditch
located on the Canadian River approximately 12 miles below
® the mouth of Mann Draw and 34 miles below the Bourg property.
No adjudicated storage right was found for the stockwater
pond located 2,000 feet north of the Bourg property. The
ground water rights in Che mine vicinity are shown in Figure
6 and listed in Table 5b.
The consumptive use of the pumped ground water at the Bourg
Mine is estimate to be approximately 9,000 gallons per day.
~--~~
According to the State Water Resources hydrologists in
Steamboat Springs, verified by Bernard Streit, the co-owner
of the ranch at the junction of Mann Draw and the Canadian
River, the only use of the water in the Canadian River in
Colorado is in the springtime for flood irrigation of
hayfields along the flood plain of the Canadian River from
about May 20 to July 15 or 20, or a maximum of about 60 days.
;ti,"
~ -3
