.•

-4-
The monitoring plan should include the submittal of an annual report of
hydrologic impacts of mining. This report should incude an analysis of
all hydrologic data collected during previous year. This analysis should
include a discussion: 1) of water use in the mining operation, 2) of
water discharged to receiving streams (quality and quantity), 3) of mine
inflows (annual mine inflow study), 4) of impacts to alluvial and bedrock
ground water quantity (lowering of ground water levels), 5) of depletions
in stream flows, 6) of impacts to alluvial and bedrock ground water
quality, and 7) of impacts to spring flows. The annual hydrologic report
should include a discussion of how any adverse hydrologic impacts were
mitigated during the year. The annual report should include an
assessment of potential impacts of mining on the hydrologic balance which
may be encountered in the upcoming year, and also a discussion of those
mitigative measure which the applicant will undertake to minimize these
impacts.
If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me.
/ep
cc: Ed Bischoff
James Pendleton
Jerry Zimpfer
Doc.
