Dent. 04 f~trie: zl Eesou!cer
One item I did not specifically address in my letter of March
12, 1982, is resolution of the pit water problem with the
Division and the Department of Health, by April 1, 1982, such
that the pond will be maintained with the required available
storage.
My March 2nd Letter addressed the current situation with
respect to pit water. Pumping of the pond will continue to
occur so that the total retention time is realized by April 1,
1982. At this writing, approximately two feet of water
remains to be removed from the pond. Further, the Health
Department stipulated, in a letter dated February 22, 1982,
that we provide information concerning pit water treatment by
April 30, 1982 in order to have an effective permit by
September 30, 1982. We have been pursuing resolution of the
problems pursuant to those deadlines.
In that regard, the Division's April 1, 1982 deadline date
seems premature. Therefore, we respectfully suggest that the
Division revise its deadline date to April 30, 1982.
Sincerely,
/~G~f ~~~
Rade H.
