OF NATURAL 0.ESOURCfS <br />RE: Rienau Mo. 2 Mine - Crossing Under Curtis Creek <br />Uear Mr. Ilerron: <br />On IJeclnesday, December 31, 1980, Terry Schulz and I met with you, <br />Mr. Pendleton and Mr. Cox concerning the protective measures and <br />monitoring that Northern will engage in while crossing under <br />Curtis Creek. As a result of that meeting, :Je came away with an <br />understanding abouC certain issues which will be addressed in <br />addition to those mentioned in our December 11, 1980 letter. <br />Those points are as follows: <br />1. Additional subsidence monitoring points. As you pointed <br />out, it :JOUld he helpful in the event of subsidence to have points <br />in addition to tVlose directly over t17e main entries. In order to <br />accomplish this, we will place six more monitoring points as <br />located on the attached map. These points are within the area of <br />influence and should reflect any change in elevation. Each co- <br />ordinate and elevation will be forwarded as soon as survey work is <br />finished. <br />2. quarterly monitoring of subsidence points. We will monitor <br />the subsidence points quarterly and forward the elevation information <br />to you for your review. We would propose that this; monitoring con- <br />tinue for one year on a quarterly bnais and yearly after [haC. <br />3. Alinimum of 2 woks :;u rC;lcc flow data on Curtis Creek.
