EFC also ma):es application to the Board for final bond
release with respec~ to these seven reclamation tracts and
appropriate reduction of the outstanding surety bond.
In support of this request EFC notes that all of
these areas were seeded between June, 1976 and October,
1977. These seedings have now been effectively established,
and are adequately controlling erosion. Further, expressed
in terms of the primary guidelines of herbaceous cover and
productivity, reclamation has been completed and the recla-
mation bond on these tracts should be released. Detailed
documentation of these results is provided below.
EFC emphasizes that all of these tracts fall with-
in the reclamation standards of the Colorado Mined Land Re-
clamation Act of 1976 and subsequent regulations issued in
May, 1977 pursuant to that Act. Mining was completed and
reclamation initiated on all of the tracts requested for
final surety release prior to issuance of the Office of Sur-
face Mining (OSM) Interim Regulations of December, 1977.

_~ _,.. _.,. _._. h ..6i
