Three cross-sections were provided. Cross-sections
61(8-R) and 61(E-R) indicate that the postmining configuration closely
resembles the previously approves configuration.
Cross-section 61(C-R) indicates a bit more variation, We understand that the
increased relief is due to the elevated coal bed which resulted from fault
displacement in Area 61. The steepest section of cross-section 61(C-R) is
about 14% (7H:1V), and although this is steeper than was anticipated, the
slope should not present any unusual reclamation problems. For these reasons
the configuration will be acceptable.
The Area 61 cross-sections 61(B-R), 61(E-R) and 61(C-R) indicate topography
which is acceptable. You may proceed with topsoil reaistribution when time
permits.
Thank you for the submittal.
Sincere.ly~ ~'
-,
~~
- :~
.'/L David ~ y
Reclamation Specialist
DAB/scg
cc: J.
