These revised pages specifically address Comment 2 <br />in your January 20, 1995 preliminary adequacy review letter. <br />The officers listed in your letter were verified against the official AVS listing <br />submitted to OSM by Peabody Holding Company, Inc. (PHCI). Most of the <br />discrepancies you identified were accurate with exception to the following <br />items: <br />2.a. The begin date is 4/25/94 for Dennis L. Stevenson, Peabody Coal <br />Company. <br />2.b. John E. Lushefski is still Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for PHCI; <br />however, his treasurer position did end on 4/30/93. George H. <br />Hempstead III did end his director position on 8/16/90; however, he <br />was reinstated on 4/26/91. <br />2.c. Robert E. Lee is still an active Vice President (VP) and CFO of HM <br />Holding, Inc. <br />2.d. Robert E. Lee is still at active VP and CFO, and George H. MacLean <br />an active Assistant Secretary (ASC) of Hanson America, Inc. Edward <br />D. Collins and Derek N. Rosling were both Corporate Officers (COF)- <br />Vice Chairman with an end date of 5/17/94. <br />2.e. Robert E. Lee is still an active CFO for HM Anglo-American Ltd. Hip <br />treasurer position did end on 4/22/92. <br />2.f. Kenneth J. Ludlam and Martin G. Taylor are still COF of Hanson <br />PLC.
