III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
999
STATE OF COLORADO HIC HAPD D. LAMM, Govemm
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
D. Monte Pascoe, Executive Director
MINED LAND RECLAMATION
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203 7e1. (303) g66-3567
David C. Shelton
Director
Date: October 7, 1982
To: File No. C-024-81
From: Susan Mowry ~,~~
Re: Permit Review
On September 24, 1982, I telephoned Rade Orell to discuss the disposition of
some additional information on geology and hydrologyth'at the Division had
requested earlier. He told me that he had all the information on his desk
and that he would send it to me express mail on the following Monday. On
Monday, Rade was in our offices but had forgotten to bring the information
for me. He said he would send it express mail on Tuesday. On Tuesday
September 28, 1982, he called again. He had not put the information in the
mail. He said he would put it on the bus for me to pick up or put it in the
mail. I instructed him to put it in the mail that afternoon. He assured
me I would receive the package in the mail on Wednesday morning. Wednesday
afternoon we had not recieved the package so Roy Cox phoned Rade's office.
Rade was not in so Roy talked to Jon Cornick. Jon still had the package.
He told Roy he would mail it that afternoon. On Thursday morning the
package of information arived in the mail. Roy Cox reviewed the material
and wrote me a memo outlining some additional deficiencies on Friday, October
1, 1982.
I attempted to phone Rade on the following Monday, October 4, 1982. He was
unavailable and failed to return my call. I phoned him again on October 6,
1982, and discussed the deficiencieswith him. I also inquired about the
status of a new post-mining topography map that Jim Pendleton had requested
on September 26, 1982. Rade indicated that he would bring the information
to our office at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 7, 1982, at which time he
had a scheduled meeting with Mike Long. On October 7,1982, he told me
during a telephone call that the two maps that we had requested would not be
ready by that afternoon but everything else would be. I am expecting him
to bring ever thing but the two maps this afternoon.
SM/pp
