Based on projected pit dimensions as indicated on the mine p]an map
revised April, 1984, an overburden volume of 300,000 yd3 was assumed.
2. Based on 1984 Rental Rate Bluebook hourly rental rates (monthly
adjustment) and operating costs, the following cost estimates were changed:
Equipment
Applicant Estimate Bluebook Rate
631 D Scraper $85/hr $149/hr
D9L Dozer 90 ~ 139
DSK Dozer 60 88
Cat 14g Grader 43 67
3. As a result of the 2 adjustments above the total cost of backfilling,
grading and topsoiling at Pit 4 is estimated by the Division to be $273,000,
as apposed to the $162,470 estimated by the applicant.
iL 4. The cost of revegetating a 35 acre existing disturbance at Pit 4 (pit,
~' shop and stockpile areas) is estimated at $21,630, based on revegetation costs
~'~'~ used by the applicant.
P/o~'. 1' 5. The cost of reclamation at Pit 6 is estimated to be $12,391.00, using
~r~`~`~ Rental Rate Bluebook cost figures.
6. Pits 1, 2, 3 and 5 have been revegetated, but are still in the 10 year
liability period. Applying the $613.00/acre revegetation cost to the 94.3
acres of disturbance results in a total of $58,271.00.
~~o, i2(f?
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
