The application was submitted by Lorencito Coal Company on December 23, 1996, <br />for the Lorencito Canyon Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules- and Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing <br />before the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd within thirty (30) days of the first publication of this notice in [he <br />Chronicle-News. <br />The combined surface and underground mine is located approximately 3 miles west Segundo on Highwat 12. It can <br />generally be described as lands south of the Purgatoire River, lands east of the South Fork of the Purgatoire and <br />Alamosa Canyon, lands north of Vermejo Park, and lands west of Widow Woman Canyon containing approximately <br />17, 862 acres. <br />Copies of the permit application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Las Animas County Clerk and Recordei s Office.
