DEPT. OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Re: Orchard Valley Mine Permit Application -
Projected Life of Pfine Area
•
Dear Tom:
As you will note outlined on the newly revised Map 49 covering Regional Geo-
logy, BLM has proposed a Study Area for a long-term lease that, if issued,
would involve substantially less area [o the west of our present mining
operations than we originally anticipated. Therefore, the West Roatcap Creek
area would not be mined and to the extent Maps 9, Long-Term Mining Sequence,
and Map 40, Alluvial Valley Floor Reconnaissance, project future activities,
those activities must and will be limited to that portion of the lands
ultimately available within the boundaries of the Study Area.
I would suggest you attach a copy of this letter to Map 9 of our permit appli-
cations and enclose five (5) copies for that purpose.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Very truly yours,
~~ ~~~
Christopher K.
