SHELTON, Director <br />DATE: September 10, 1985 <br />T0: Mike Savage <br />FROM: Steve Renner <br />RE: Peerless Resources Hydrology Cortonitments <br />Following is a list of commitments made to the Division by Peerless <br />Resources. These statements were found either in the PAR responses (April 15, <br />1985; June 28, 1985) or the recently published findings document. <br />The commitments documented here deal only with free flowing surface water, <br />ground water (including mine inflows), and subsidence related flows. <br />/ 1. Subsurface water (mine inflows) will be channeled to a sump, which will <br />be sampled quarterl for MLRD approved ground water parameters <br />(April 15, 1985 PAR. <br />/ 2. Five surface water sites will be monitored quarterly for the parameters <br />/listed on Page 23 of the April 15, 1985 PAR responses. ' <br />,/ 3. No pillars will be pulled in areas with less then 300 feet of <br />overburden (surface elevation 7,400 feet). In addition, no pillars will be <br />pulled adjacent to the main mine entries. (June 28, 1985 PAR, and Findings). <br />`~ 4. Peerless will weld a stand-pipe onto the Victory No. 3 discharge pipe. <br />Discharge will be measured monthly, while water quality samples will be <br />collected quarterly. The parameters to be analyzed are the same as in <br />Stipulation No. 3. (June 28, 1985 PAR and Findings). <br />~. A double completion well will be drilled in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 16, <br />T35N, R10W. One well will be completed in the lower Cliffhouse Sandstone, <br />while the second will be completed in the upper Menefee Formation. These <br />wells will be drilled in the late summer or fall of 1985. Well completion, <br />pump or slug test, and water quality data, along with drillers logs and other <br />applicable information will be submitted to the Division. The water levels in <br />these wells will be measured monthly. 41atPr-goal-i-ty-wi-N-be_arLd]Xzed_ ~ <br />quarterly-for the parameters, listed in Stipulation No. 3. Information pertaining to the proposed water supply well will be <br />submitted to the Division. This information will include: State Engineer <br />Number, depth of hole, completion information, production data, water quality <br />analyses.
