This would entail removal of several thousand yards of overburden
material and the regrading of the berms and outslopes of the remaining access
road. The material removed was to be used in the final backfilling and grading
operation of pits at the mine. It is a concern of the Division that having this
material in the road base would cause a material balance shortage in reclamation
operations at the mine.
Until such time as Trinidad Basin Mining demonstrates to the satisfaction of the
Division that material shortage will not be enountered and that the road meets
applicable performance standards, the Division must hold Trinidad Da sin to the
commitments made in the permit document.
Thank you for your concern in this matter.
Sincerely,
." ~ !
