A cultural resource survey is not necessary
in areas already disturbed by mining activities. However, the
Office of Surface Mining (OSM) and our office are concerned about
the effects of subsidence on cultural resources. Before a cultural
resource survey is undertaken you should contact OSM archaeologist
Foster Kirby at 844-2451 to determine what cultural resource
stipulations OSM has placed on this mine.
If this office can be of further assistance, please contact
Jim Green at 866-3395 or 866-3392.
bar Sudler
to istoric Preservation Officer
/WJ~ : ss
C
W~ .
