Right of Entry
Please update the status of any and all surface and mineral right -of--entry lease
agreements for the proposed Lorencito Canyon Mine. Any changes to the previously
approved permit must be processed as a revision, if an extension is granted.
The response to this question indicated A. P. Maxwell is working on securing and /or
updating any required right-of-entry information or lease agreements. This new
information would be submitted with the permit revision on March 1, 2001. However, if
the desire was to begin mining in some form under the currently approved mine plan,
possibly with some minor modification, the Division would require confirmation that the
previous lease arrangement is still valid regarding right-of-entry. Therefore, additional
information may be required concerning this question.
Replacement bond
And finally, prior to any final decision on permit extension, the Division requires that an
adequate bond (to replace the Frontier bond} be submitted, accepted, and approved as
proposed under the cumulative bond schedule as approved under the original permit.
Please be aware that the contemplated 6-month extension, if granted, would run
concurrent to the November 7, 2000 termination date. Therefore, a 6-month extension
would expire May 7, 2001. If you have questions or comments, please call me.
S
Supervisor
