levels except for those areas shown on the drawing. Riprap will <br />be used on those sections that need protection. The riprap, in <br />conjunction with the sandstone outcrop below the road, should act <br />to prevent headcutting. A channel to carry the mean annual flood <br />of 52 cfs has been incorporated into the channel above the <br />culvert. The 100 year flow will be carried in the main channel <br />and overbank area. The results of hydraulic calculations are <br />shown in Appendix B. <br />In order to prevent ponding, the existing bottom elevation of <br />Pond 'K will be filled in so that a uniform grade in the area of <br />the pond for the reconstructed channel will result. No ponding <br />above the road is expected. <br />For purpose of revising the bond amount, calculations are <br />shown in Appendix C. These include costs for excavation on the <br />road and construction of the channels. The cost of $9,700.00 <br />will be included in a bond supplement to be provided by American <br />Fuels, Inc. <br />
