Lamm <br />Governor <br />August 8, 1984 <br />Delta County Commissioners <br />5th and Palmer <br />Delta, Colorado 81416 <br />Dear Sirs: <br />In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(3)(9) of the Regulations promulgated by the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, 34-33-101 et. seq., the Division of Mined Land <br />Reclamation is providing notice that a permit has been issued to Grand Mesa <br />Coal Company for their existing Red Canyon No. 1 and proposed Red Canyon No. 2 <br />underground coal mines, and the Delta Load-out facility. <br />The permit area for the mines encompasses 610 acres in portions of Sections 2, <br />11, 12, 13, and 14, of T13S, R95W of the 6th P.M. The permit area at the <br />load-out is located in the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 Sec. 13, 7155, R9bW of the 6th P.
