Simpson
State Engineer
This office has reviewed the "Proposed Decisions and Findings of Compliance" for the Yoast
Mine, Permit No. C-94-082.
In particular, the sections Surface Water, Ground Water, Description of the Operation and
Reclamation Plans, and Hydrologic Balance were helpful and informative.
This office has determined that there are no adverse water resource impacts to be caused
by the proposed mine. This determination is based in part on the fact that the Yampa River
system's tributaries in this area are not at this time critical with regards to water administration.
Anot-critical condition means there has not been a call from senior downstream water rights, and
there is appropriable water.
There are no objections to the proposed permit.
Sincerely
~~
~~~~`i ~~
Chuck Roberts
Professional Engineer III
CGR:jmg
cc: Ed Blank, Div. 6
pF.CO~
RECEIVED ~~`~ ~
.a.
JUL 171995 •.~,'
Roy Romer
Division of ivllnerais a vG~i~yy Governor
lames 5.
