• <br /> <br />No. G1-77 <br />EXIiIBIT "A" <br />Scope of Services for <br />Hayden Gulch t4.ine Area Environmental Tasks <br />The work to be conducted by 3R will include the <br />following project work tasks: <br />1. Completion of the Baseline Biological Invento <br />Report. Finalize the graphics for vegetation and wildlife <br />mapping, and the associated report text cross referencing in <br />order to complete t-en (10) copies of the baseline biological <br />inventory for the proposed Ilayden Gulch Mine. Tlie quality of <br />the final graphics presentation will be restricted Co utilization <br />of black line ozlids prints, codes for interpretation by legends. <br />The draft report dated February 7, 177 will be final proofed <br />and cross referenced to the completed graphics and the completed <br />report will be delivered to Grace for use in preparation of <br />permit materials for the State of Colorado and in support of <br />mine and reclamation planning. <br />2. Existing Land Use. A generalized approach will <br />be used to incorporate the results of this analysis for <br />integration with the present land use of the proposed mine site <br />and to describe its significance as rangeland and wildlife <br />habitat. 3R will prepare a brief overview description of <br />existing land use of the proposed mine site, including descrip- <br />tions based upon Soil Conservation Service (SCS) data, estimated <br />productivity per range site type. Estimated net primary pro- <br />duction for rangeland and determination of carrying capacity <br />for cattle, sheep, elk and mule deer per range site will be <br />included in the summary of the SCS analysis. Grace will provide <br />aerial photographs of the mine area, with mine limits shown, for <br />use by 3R in completing this task. <br />3. Summary Report of Ecological Baseline Studies. <br />Prepare ten (10) copies of a summary report document from the <br />Page Six of Nine <br />
