i
-z-
SUNFLOWER ENERGY
110 Application
December 16, 1976
Mining Plan:
Reclamation Plan:
Staff Recommendation:
GFR:MAH:bd
Water: there is no surface water except
by runoff or melt; the operation would
not affect the groundwater; the old
mine was dry.
Surrounding Land Uses: Wildlife and
minimal sheep grazing.
A 1,000 foot long access road would be
built across the slopes to the south. The
faceup would occur on the bnech by stripping
off topsoil and stockpiling to the north,
Then the subsoil and subsurface material
would be place on the west. Two entries
would be built on the faceup.
After completion of the operation the
spoil would be placed back into the faceup
eradicating the excavation, Then the top-
soil would be respread on the spoil and
seeded with grasses, The road would be
backfilled and planted, Eventually,
oakbrush should reinvade the site.
Recommend approval. No conditions.
Recommend bond be set at $2,500.
