OF NAIURAL RESOURCES <br />The Colorado Heritage Center 1300 Broadway Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />June 4, 1981 <br />Fred Banta <br />Senior Reclamation Specialist <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />423 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Dear Mr. Banta: <br />This office has reviewed the information provided for the Red Canyon <br />112 Mine Plan. <br />Since there is federal involvement in this project, the areas where <br />there have been no previous ground disturbing activities that will be <br />impacted by the Red Canyon 112 Mine should be surveyed to identify <br />all cultural resources that may be eligible to the National Register <br />of Historic Places. <br />The recommendations of the Office of Surface Mining should be <br />followed for the subsidence areas as there may be historic structures <br />that could be affected by this activity. <br />A file search has been conducted for this area (T13S, R95W, Sec. 12) <br />and there are no previously recorded cultural resources within the impact <br />area. <br />If this office can be of further assistance, please contact the <br />Compliance Division at 866-3392. <br />rely, <br />to Historic Preservation Officer <br />ACT/WJG:ss <br />
