Memo to Tvrin Pines from L.G. White, Dec. 6, 1983 Page 1~
. ,
c) Coal Creek developed its wells in the upper pool of the
mine, (See Drawing TP-6 and TP-7) There were definitely
tyro pools ~f water in the mine when the source of water
vras develc. =d as men were in the mine in 1969 or 1970 and a
dry hole w; drilled in the slope in 1970.
d) Adjacent min vrorkings did not deplete the upper water pool.
e) The source of :._~ring water contributing to the upper pool
is not from the 7otential aquifer below the coal seam. It
appears probable that its source is the possible fault zone
that crosses the air shaft, Coal Creek, and other drainage
courses up dip from the mine.
f) The development of Twin Pines No. 2 Mine down dip from the
well will not affect the quality or quantity of the water
in the Caldirola No. 2 Mine 6Ve11.
.// ~-
Lawr_eLnce G.
