shall add to this sublease any amendments, revisions or adjust-
ments that may hereafter be adopted in said Federal Coal Lease
No. C-033301.
1. It is understood and agreed that the terms
"Hawksnest Coal Seam" and "E Coal Seam" as used herein refer
to the coal seam which is more particularly described as that
seam being mined as of February, 1956, at the Blue Ribbon Mine
with said Mine lying in Lot 2 of Section 2, Township 13 South,
Range 91 West, Sixth Principal Meridian, Delta County, Colorado;
said seam being also the uppermost seam or one of the uppermost
seams of minable thickness (approximately varying from S to 7
feet thick) in the Hubbard Creek area of Delta County, Colorado
and designated by the U. S. Geological Survey as the Hawksnest
("E") bed, Paonia Member, Mesa Verde I•'ormation, in the Somerset
District, Colorado.
2. SECOND PARTY covenants and agrees to pay 1'IRST
PARTY the following rentals and royalties, payable at the
times and in the manner as herein provided, to-wit:
(a) The royalties provided to be paid in said Federal
Coal Lease No. C-033301 for each and every ton of coal mined
and removed from said seam or seams within the boundaries of

FIRST PARTY a statement, on or before the ?0th day of each
April, July, October and January for all tonnage of coal mined
and removed from said leased seam or scams for the ureceding
calendar quarter, during the term of this subl^ase, and shall
pay to FIRST PARTY all royalties due for the quarter for which

SECOND PARTY shall also pay to }'1RST PAR'PY the rental per
