~ ~ III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
Sunflower
E 5°"e228
nergy 770 Grant Sheet
C Denver. Coioiaoo 80203
orporation 303/837-12x2
November 18, 1977
Mr. Dean Massey
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
1313 Sherman St. Room 723
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Dean;
Sunflower Energy Corporation respectfully files the
following technical revision:
In order to provide space for a temporary coal
stockpile area, Sunflower proposes to alter our present
permit boundries. This action will not affect our total
permitted acreage as it will be a re-allocation or sub-
stitution of acreage rather than an increment of acreage.
The presently bonded areas include the portal
development area and a reservoir site. Upon request,
Morcan Engineering Company has surveyed the two areas in
order to calculate the permitted but undisturbed acreage.
Their findings are attached. (See Exhibit A). We propose
to re-allocate the 57,000 square feet to the "corral site"
at the junction of the portal access road and the county
road.
The stockpile area will be surrounded by a diver-
sion ditch which will serve a settling pond function in
order to preclude any negative stockpile run-off.
The location of the originally bonded areas
as well as the proposed substitution is shown on
Exhibit B.
Upon termination of the mine project, the stock-
pile area will be returned to a corral and loadout area
as requested by the grazing rights owner.
Respec lly yours,
Samuel J. Hoffmann
SJH/kd
