• • RECEIVED:
JAN 2 0 }091
MINED LAND RECLAMATION :COAL'
COLO. DEPT, OF NATURAL RESOURCES
RESPONSE TO THE COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD
The following cites locations in the application where infor-
mation is found relative to the extent of contamination,
diminution or interruption of a water source. Based upon
the lack of potential for such impact no alternative water
supply was identified. This is in compliance with Section
2.04.7(3) of Colorado regulations.
The following Sections contain information in regard to the
absence of potential for the contamination, diminution or
interruption of a water supply:
o Section 2.1.7, page 2-14.
o Section 2.1.9, page 2-15.
o Section 2.4.2, page 2-26.
o Section 4.2, pages 4-6 through 4-15.
Section 4.2.5, page 4-15 identifies water rights held by
SEI, and Section 2.4.3 identifies water requirements of the
mining and reclamation activities. These two sections alone,
identify the potential source of alternative water supply
even though the need to identify such is mooted by virtue
of the lack of potential impacts due to mining activities.
