The sediment control for the office area will con-
sist of diversion ditches, DD-2 and DD-3, to divert up-
slope drainage around the site and revegetation, mulch-
ing or gravel surfacing of any other disturbed area.
Drainage from the disturbed surface area will be con-
trolled.by straw bale dikes in the drainages during the
construction period.
After the construction is completed, the areas not
needed for parking and supply storage will be seeded
and mulched. The areas used for parking and supply
storage will be graveled.
The construction of the office building site will
consist of removal of any soil with the potential of
• supporting growth. This soil will be obtained from the
area to the west of the existing road to the minesite.
Approximately 24 inches will be salvaged. The area will
then be graded to meet the topography as shown in the
Postmining Contours, Drawing 6. Road relocation will
occur at the same time the grading occurs. The office,
shop and bathhouse facilities will then be constructed.
The soil material that had been salvaged will then be
respread over any of the areas not necessary for parking
or supply storage. Seeding and mulching will occur im-
mediately after the completion of the regrading opera-
tion. Any areas not seeded and mulched will be gravel-
ed to provide an erosion resistant surface.
• During construction of the office and shop facili-

94
