Crichton:
Company
Expressway
Dan M. Lynch
305 H.E. 170th
Seattle, Washington 98155

I am the surface owner of a portion of the land
Shield's Fruits Hine area. The legal description
the area of the mine is as follows: Township 8S,
Section 30, N} of the NE}.
within American
of the land in
Range lO1W,
~ It is my underatandinq that the site is to be reclaimed in the
near future. Thin letter is to inform all interested partites
that I desire the bench area (formally used for the Pruita ~1
portal area) and its associated acceaa road to remain after
reclamation. I also understand that the bench map need to be
modified slightly to provide better slope stability.
The bench area has excellent views of the Colorado River valley
not found often is the Book Cliffs due to the poor acceaa. The
bench area is now well vegetated with grasses and dots not have a
runoff problem. I would like to u3e the bench area for occasional
recreation, possibly installing a picnic table and a barbecue
pit. The site is significantly more valuable to me in this
configuration than the pre-mining steep slope. The pre-miming
slope xaa too steep for any use other than xildlife habitat.
Sincerely yours,
Dan H/. Lynch ~~
67
