lter~ldo. IV, B.2. on Page 16 of our Abandonment
and Reclamation Plan for 1•;ilson-Loudy Loadout calls
for the =~etention of the 1~orthern-built Sediment
Pond. Reclamation of this pond is to be effected
after re-:egetation of the rest of the area.
As you and 1 have discussed previously, the utility
of this pol;d .'or sediment control is marginal. This,
coupled ti•:itl: ±he adverse affects of re-disturbing
the 2rea tc reclaim the pond once vegetation is es-
tablished, -~l:es the retention of the pond infeasible.
;northern Ccsl is asY.ing for a minor revision to its
Reclamation Plan, alloti~ing the removal of the pond
prior to re~~egetation. Sediment in the drainages
t•;ill be controlled by the use of fabric fences at
the entrance and outlet of culverts. All culverts
and ditches i:ill continue to be cleaned and main-
tained.
The rest of the drainage and sedimentation plan ti•~ill
remain the szme.
