Gunnison No. L Mine mining and <br />reclamation plan modification number 2 approval document of <br />September 27, 1985 and find the tollowing documents: <br />Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance for 1,630 acre <br />Permit Revision, dated August 26, 1985, from <br />David C. Shelton, Director, Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division which on page 8, second paragraph, states; "No <br />surface facilities are proposed for this revision." <br />Environmental Assessment, West Elk Coal Company, Mt. <br />Gunnison No. 1 Mine, Mining Plan Modification, September <br />L985, which on the unnumbered third page, second paragraph, <br />states; "No new surface disturbance is planned for this <br />revision and coal production is expected to remain at <br />present levels." <br />I have also reviewed the M[. Gunnison No. 1 Mine mining and <br />reclamation plan proposed modification number 3 approval document <br />of October 1987, and find that no new surface disturbance is ~ <br />planned for this modification. <br />Based on the above mentioned documentation, I find that no <br />properties that appear to meet the criteria of eligibility for <br />the National Historic Preservation Act, or related laws and <br />regulations lie within the impact area of the Mt.
