Shelton <br />Director <br />DATE: September 22, 1982 <br />~: Sandy Emrich <br />FROM: Jerry Zimpfer~;~ <br />RE: Foidel Creek Mine, Completeness Review <br />S have finished my portion of the completeness review for CYCC's proposed <br />Foidel Creek underground mine, Overall, the application is well prepared, <br />but there are a few areas that appear to be incomplete. <br />Rule 2.09.7(2) Surface Water Information <br />(a) The application includes no discussion of the occurrence of <br />springs in or adjacent to the permit area. The location of all <br />springs should be shown, if there are more than the single spring <br />located on Map 9. The applicant should provide sufficient data to <br />identify the seasonal variations in water quantity and quality <br />of springs within the proposed permit and adjacent areas. (In <br />anticipation of the adequacy review, the applicant should identify <br />the occurrence of springs and consider possible effects of mining.) <br />(b) The application does not contain water quality data for Fish <br />Creek. The applicant should provide water quality data for Fish <br />Creek sufficient to identify seasonal variations in TDS, TSS, <br />acidity, pR, total and dissolved iron, total manganese, and other <br />information required by the Division, (Can use the parameter list <br />for Foidel Creek for other information.) <br />Rule 2,04.7(4)(a) Hydrology Map Requirement <br />The applicant has failed to identify the current users of surface water <br />flowing in either the Foidel Creek or Fish Creek watersheds. AZ1 <br />downstream water users on Fish Creek down to its confluence with Trout <br />Creek, and on Foidel Creek down to its confluence with Middle Creek <br />should be identified. (The applicant should identify point of diversion, <br />area of use, and discuss the nature of the use.) <br />
