Dept. of h'af~>al R~seurces <br />In reference to our phone conversation of today, had <br />we continued to extend the buffer zone to the area of the <br />drainage crossing, we believe that excessive material would <br />have been discharged into the drainage. The resulting sit- <br />uation would have also been a waste of material. This area <br />along the drainage ditch is only about 8 to 10 feet high <br />and less than 100 feet long. We knew that spilling material <br />into the drainage channel would be a serious concern on the <br />part of the Division. <br />We feel that now we can backfill the area successfully <br />without the spillage into the drainage area. We will be <br />glad to go ahead with the buffer if you decide this is nec- <br />essary.
