Re: Cost Proposal-OC #2 Mute
Dear Christhte and Dave:
Please fmd attached the cost proposal and project schedule to develop the reclamation plan for the
OC #2 Mine. Man-hours have been redistributed from follow up htto the CARD portions of Tasks
1 3 attd 4. Man-hours have been added itt the field survey portion and to assetttble the Teclutical
Revision package. The field survey is assumed to be done in one long day by two tnett rather than
having a professional engineer and a two tttart survey crew. By working Otte long day, the cost of
motels aze eliminated. It has been asstuued that the sedimentation pond will have to be surveyed to
update the existing site topographic ,trap. Sufficient poutts will be obtained to generate a new' site
topographic map based on relative elevations. Soil samples will be collected in the disturbed area
to provide data on the slope stability analysis for the regrading plan and post minhtg topography
development. If no surveying is needed in the field, tltett the matt-hours required in the field
should be lower. The redistribution of matt-hours from the follow up phase appears reasonable as
Balaz R Associates and KLH intend on reviewing aspects of the project with the operator attd
Division as questions arise. By working together, the time for follow up should be lower.
The cost proposal does not include allowances for htsurattce yet as we aze finalizhtg the costs. We
anticipate having the certificates and costs by Wednesday, September 6, 1995. Prices quoted in
the attached schedule aze valid for 30 days. If purchase order and authorization to proceed are not
received witltitt 30 days, the cost proposal is subject to cltutge without notice. Changes to the
scope of work will require review of the project budget to see if a cost adjustment is required.
The project schedule has the Teclutical Revision beutg cotttpleted by September 30, 199
assuming that the project starts on September 11, 1995. If the project start date is delayed more
