A Berry - 2 - December 4, 1996 <br />DMG -Well Permits -It is now our understanding that State Ergineer's O-ffice (SEO) <br />well permits will not be required for wells installed solely for the purpose of monitoring <br />water quality and quantity. Please be aware that SEO well permits are typically <br />required if water from the underground workings, or arty other groundwater is used by <br />the mine operator for arry beneficial use. <br />BRL - No response required. See 17a. <br />DMG -Department of Army 404 permits -Provide the permiu when obtained. <br />BRL - At this time it appears an individual permit will be required from the Corps. The <br />individual permit will provide for the disturbance of a small acreage of wetlands as well as <br />"bed and bank" disturbance. According to the Corps, (Randy Snyder 243-1199), <br />individual permit acquisition takes approximately 90 days. <br />8. No response required. <br />8a. DMG -Please submit the completed reports, and a letter from SHPO which verges the <br />resolution of issues contained in the July /8, 1996 letter. <br />BRL -Enclosed is the level II documentation of structures within the Historic Town of <br />Bowie and the Associated King Mme. The original cultural resource inventory and the <br />level II documentation are to be included in a new permit Volume VI. Enclosed are three <br />copies of new permit Volume VI. Please remove the original Cultural Resource Inventory <br />Reports dated November 30, 1996, from Volume III, Exhibit 2 and place them in the new <br />Volume VI. We have asked the SHPO if the level II documentation is adequate. No <br />response from the SHPO has been received as of this date. Also enclosed is revised page <br />2.04-9 which explains the level II documentation of structures. <br />9. No response required. <br />10. DMG -This issue has been referred to Jim Pendleton for review. <br />11. - 12. No response required. <br />13. Pazagraph 1 and pazagaph 2: No response required. <br />Paragraph 3: <br />DMG -This response is generally accepted Does BRL have more recenl water level <br />data for the referenced DH-48 well? Has the water level remained at or below the level <br />of the fault? <br />
