CYCC committed to
installing the wells in the deepest end of the pit where saturation is most
likely to be present (See May 1, 1984 response letter, and page 4A of the
January 14, 1985 response). The proposed location of the agreed upon wells
are located on Map 4a, Mine No. 3 revised November 1, 1984.
One concern was noted with the CYCC response. The spoils wells were not
installed in the agreed upon locations. Spoil well 008-SP-4 was installed
outside the pit area {See Map 4a, revised January 4, 1984 (85?)). Spoil well
008-SP-5 is located upgradient from the Middle Creek Pit which is 2,000 feet
north of the agreed upon location.
These wells are not incompliance with the agreed upon moni
need to be reclaimed and new wells drilled in the approved
should be contacted about this concern. I would recommend
deadline be imposed for relocating the wells. Appropriate
taken if CYCC fails to comply with the permit. I would be
them if they have any questions.
/fw
Doc. No. 8549
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street
Loring plan and will
location.
