4. Rule 2.05.6(3)(b)(vi) requires that a plan for the restoration of recharge
' capacity be submitted. The Energy Fuels Corporation has submitted an accounting
of pre-mining recharge capacity and an estimate of how this recharge capacity
will be restored after mining is completed. The Division would like to see a
more quantitative description of post-mining recharge capacity based on site-
specific data collection Infiltration and aquifer testing techniques should
' be applied to existing reclaimed spoils to determine if restoration of recharge _
capacity is possible at the mine site.
' Response: As described on pages 2.05.-111 and 2.05-112 of the application,
' recharge capacity will not only be restored but also enhanced by surface mining
and reclamation activities. To document [his estimate of post-mining recharge
,Sy capacity, CYCC will commit to install and sample a monitor well in the spoil at ~10j~~r;,~
'oy~„J ~~ Energy Piine No. 3. Page 2.05.-104 has been revised to include this commitment. ~e~j~s.~
`I"~ (See page 2.05-104a and 2.05-104b).
5. Rule 2.04.5(1) requires that a description of ground water quantity and
~~i-d quality within the general area of the mine site be submitted. To be in com-
pliance with this rule, Energy Fuels should submit a quantitative estimate of
' the amount of water that is pumped daily from both their underground and surface
mining operations. Also, the chemical quality of this pumped mine water should
be determined.
Response: The requested information is contained in the application as
referenced below:
' Quantitative estimates of water pumped daily from underground operations -
page 2.05-109, Fig. 10.
' Quantitative estimates of water pumped daily from surface operations -
page 2.05-108.
Quantitative estimates of water pumped daily from surface operations -
1 page 2.05-108.
Chemical quality of pumped mine water - pages 2.05-101 and 2.0 5-113
thru-115.

-5-
1
^
