Dell <br />560 Briar Squaze <br />Florence, CO 81226 <br />719-784-6945 <br />dellster@bresnan.net <br />There has recently been a Pub&c Notice which has appeared in the Canon City Daily Record <br />which indicates the Northfield Mine Project Northfield Partners, LLC (Northfield), PO Box <br />260678, Littleton, Colorado 80163, has filed an application for a new underground coal mining <br />operation with the State of Colorado, DRMS. Please find this public notice attached for your <br />reference. <br />This proposed permit azea is Located in south central Colorado in Fremont County. It also <br />indicates that lands comprising the proposed permit area include the following portions in <br />Township 19 South, Range 70 West, Denver Base and Meridian: Section 11:...N1/2NE1/4SE1/4. <br />The public notice also names parties which hold surface and mineral interests within the mine <br />permit boundaries, one of which is the Town of Brookside and Aquila. <br />The map located at the Fremont County Clerk and Recorders Office was reviewed to determine if <br />we may be affected and we believe we aze. We currently own a tract of land with the following <br />legal description: SEC 11-19-70 LOT 1 DERUHA SUB REF FROM 540-00-480. Our southerly <br />property line is the edge of the incorporated azea of the Town of Brookside as well as falls <br />duectly under the transmission lines of Aquila. <br />We aze thereby requesting a public hearing to determine if we aze positively in the proposed azea <br />and how as a landowner our interests will be protected. <br />Please also find attached a copy of the map on file with the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder <br />as well as a Fremont County Parcel Map which shows our property for your reference. <br />
