-. ... <br />Memo to Janet Binns <br />Stability of the Fruiota #1/#2 Mine Highwall <br />page 2 <br />For your information I have attached a copy of my October 25, 1989 memo <br />addressing the stability of the adjoining Fruita #1/#2 mine bench. The <br />important observation occurs on the second page. I stipulate that the <br />diversion ditch must be maintained in order to maintain the dewatered <br />assumption upon which the mine bench stability analysis was founded. This <br />corroborates Mr. Lewicki's statements regarding the importance of improving <br />and retaining the existing diversion ditches. <br />I recommend that you accept Mr. Lewicki's demonstration of the stability of <br />the Fruita #1/#2 mine highwall. <br />attachment <br />cc: Larry Routten <br />Doc.
