•
Tab 5 - Cultural Resources
k.~ 10. Documentation from BLM will be submitted as soon as it becomes
available.
~11. No response required from SCC.
Tab 6 - Geolocv acrd Overburden Assessment
~~S 12. Exhibit 6-1 has been revised to show probable landslide
deposits ranging from very old to active. These landslide
areas were identified by preliminary photo and topo
interpretive study. All landslide polygons in the permit area
will be veril`ied by field study and analysis during the 1995
field season. Pages 10 and 37, Tab 6 were revised to include
oo a brief discussion and reference for the landslide deposits.
~9S 13. Exhibit 6-1 has been revised to show the projected "YOast"
syncline between the Sage Creek and 1?ish Creek anticlines.
14. Exhibit 6-4 has been revised to show the sampling area for
Wadge and Wolf Creek spoil. The Wadge sampling plan is
designed to detect potentially unsuitable spoil from the
Lennox seam and associated shales. 'Phis area was delineated
on Exhibit 6-4 by referencing the 60-foot overburden isoline
shown on Exhibit 6-3. Text Page 34, Tab 6 and Page 4, Tab 21
were revised to reference the spoil sampling areas shown on
Exhibit 6-4.
15. The sampling intensity for final graded spoil in the Wolf
~~ Creek area at Yoast should be equal to the pattern currently
used at Seneca II Mine. SCC has revised Page 4, Tab 21
indicating •a 300-foot grid will be used. In the Wadge
sampling area shown on Exhibit 6-4, SCC will use a 500-foot
grid which is equal to the pattern currently used at Seneca
II-W Mine.
~~~16. SCC propose; a minimum soil replacem~ant thickness of 0.5 feet
~~ along Roads A and B and in the facilities area in Section 8.
This thickness is sufficient in the::e areas because the soil
is being replaced over undisturbed subsoil and substratum
material. The 0.5-foot minimum soil replacement is similar to
the thickne:;s currently approved along the railroad at Hayden
Gulch Termi~ial, Inc. SCC proposes a minimum soil replacement
thickness of 1.0 feet over final graded spoil in the first
five-year mine block. This is identical to the soil
replacement thickness currently beir:g used at Seneca II Mine.
Pages 23 a:nd 24, Tab 21 were revised to incorporate the
minimum soil replacement thickness Language.
•r
