The following is
a list of comments regarding this review.
Rule 2.09.5 General Description of Hydrology and Geology
A surficial geologic map should be,submitted for the proposed permit
and adjacent areas.
~' Rule 2.09.6(1)(b)(D) Chemical Analysis of Overburden
The Division cannot find anti geochemical analysis of the Lennox coal
seam and the adjacent overburden. This information is needed because the
Lennox seam will be spoiled in the western edge of the area proposed
to be surface mined. Overburden samples should be collected in the
vicinity of well 008-78-27 from the stratieraphicallu i~icnest area cf
the proposed mining disturbance dot.m to the stratiorac;icallu '~iohest unit
sampled in well 008-78-7. Chemical analyses of these samples should
include both the chemical parameters specified in Table 2 of t'~e permit
application and the parameters listed in the follo~,~ine continent.
The following chemical parameters should be added to the overburden ceo-
chemical sampling Iist of Table 2: Fluoride, Chrcmium and tcta_' ccsl;ust-
able solids. All overburden samples, both past and _`uture, should be
analyzed for these parameters.
Rule 2.06.8(3) Alluvial Valley Floor Determination
J Al1ui•ial terraces and flood plains should be mapped for the oorticns of
Fish, Foidel, and Ffiddle Creeks in the proposed permit and adjacent areas.
A~map should be submitted showing all lands that are currently or were
historically flood irrigated, the location~of each diversion structure,
