Deaz Fremont County Planning Department:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article
33, Section 118, Pazagraph 3 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on September 22, 2006, an application
for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-2006-085 by Northfield Partners, LLC, was
considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado
Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Boazd for Coal Mining initiate from this date of filing.
The applicant proposes to conduct underground coal mining operations on land located approximately 3
miles south of Canon City. The permit azea is further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 11, 12, 13, 14, 22, 23, 24, Township 19 South, Range 70 West
The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Canon City. A copy
of the application is available for public inspection at the Fremont County Courthouse. For additional
