.o
-9-
Reclamation will proceed contemporaneously with mining. Backfilled areas will be
graded, topsoiled:and seeded. Vegetation characteristics will be monitored until
the post-mining conditions are approximately equal to adjacent areas of comparable
vegetation. The final reclaimed surface will blend in with the surrounding
undisturbed areas.
The loadout is located on Linden Avenue in Trinidad, Colorado. Coal is trucked from
the mine site along County Road 44,0 to Interstate 25 and south to the rail loadout.
At the tipple, the coal is dumped into a crusher, conveyed to a stockpile and then
loaded onto trains.
Reclamation at the loadout will consist of clearing the area of coal refuse,
ripping and grading the surface, reclaiming sediment ponds and seeding embankments
as necessary. The post-mining land use will correspond to the industrial pre-
mining Land use.
