<br />HISTORY.
<br />This property was located and opened about twenty years
<br />ago and hoe been worked in a small way at different times,
<br />but hea never produced much ore, ae only a few small ship-
<br />ments have been made. After an idleness of s Pew years the
<br />property is again being put in shape for operatics.
<br />TOPOGRAPHY.
<br />•i
<br />This property is located in a rolling, wooded district at
<br />an elevation of about 9000 feet. A goad wagon road conneote
<br />the property with the Colorado Midland Rail-road at Lake
<br />George. The Tarryall River flows about one and a half miles
<br />to the east of the property.
<br />GEOLOGY AND ORE OCOURRENCE.
<br />The Hayden Geological Survey covers this district. The
<br />formation present ie granite, gneiss and porphyry. The
<br />minorale ocauring are the sulphides of lead, zinc, oopper,
<br />iron and molybdenum in a gangue of f lourite and quartz.
<br />The ore rune about thirty-five dollars per tan combined
<br />value and the veins, which are fissures and two in numbor,
<br />strike east and wort and dip slightly to the north.
<br />VlOR!{INGS.
<br />There are three shafts on the property but the two old
<br />shafts, whiah are eaoh about 100 feet deep are saw aavod.
<br />Tho shaft now being worked ie a 4 x 8 doublo compartment
<br />shaft and ie 200 felt deep. A 16 foot arose-out has been
<br />driven to the north Prom the shaft and this will bo continuad
<br />to out tho eooond vein.
