•~~ <br />TABLE TWO -- YAMPA VALLEY <br />MINE NAME COMMENTS ON FEATURES <br />Edna Reference 2 notes that the underground workings were sealed in 1945, however, most have <br /> been removed by overlying strip mine, which is being reclaimed (Fall 1983) for use as <br /> a sanitary landfill for Routt County. <br />Electric Z: Reference 1 notes that three seams were worked from three separate o penings. <br />Federal The open adit will be reclaimed using the backfill technique, summer 1984. <br />(Juniper) <br /> Z: Reference 1 notes no unit names known for the two beds worked. <br />Frank's Reclamation awaiting landowner consent. <br />(Joe's) The adit will be closed by blasting. The contractor will determine the method of <br /> blasting (shot holes, shaped charge, directional blasting), and will comply with all <br /> State and Federal regulations. The air course will be sealed with a locking grate. <br /> The grate will be anchored to the walls of the air course with suita ble anchor bolts. <br />Hammond D: Back half of mine is flooded. <br />Hayden The two open shafts will be backfilled during summer 1984. <br />Nos. 1,2 <br />Kaspar Reclamation scheduled for Spring 1984: excavate a trench to a depth, width, and length, <br />such that all buring material is removed. Quench and stockpile burning material and <br />overburden as they are removed. When only unburned coal is exposed, backfill the trench <br />with stockpilled material.
