Regrade spoil pile borrow areas and topsoil <br />backfilled and regraded areas. Install concrete cap over vertical shaft and rip all <br />compacted work areas. Install identification monuments over each sealed opening and <br />revegetate and fence disturbed areas. <br />Midnight F: Reference 2 notes that approximately 10,500 tons were lost to coal burning. <br />Morley *: Northwest of main Morely opening. Two horizontal openings. The eastern opening is 1' <br />high, 2' and wide, and more than 15' long. The western opening has been closed off and <br />not constitute a hazard. No access deterrents. <br />Morley opening: <br />Inclined opening. Opening has been closed off but odor of bad air is very noticeable at <br />entry. No warning of gases. Access deterrents good. <br />Directly east of main Morley Mine opening. Inclined opening. Opening is 0.5' high, 1.5' <br />wide, and 10' long. No access deterrent. <br />Reclamation completed 1983. Backfill the open incline at the Morley Mine using a pneu- <br />matic backfilling technique. The backfill operation will be designed to create an air- <br />tight seal over the entrance in an effort to reduce or extinguish the coal fire within <br />the underground workings. The large waste pile will be fenced off in order to keep people <br />away from the unstable burning portion of the pile. <br />Peerless Proposed reclamation for Spring of 1984: Backfill the open adit using a graded fill <br />(Gem No. 2) technique. Topsoil backfilled area and regraded borrowed waste pile area. Rip compacted <br />work areas and seed disturbed areas with rangeland grasses.
