Pres- <br />operations were started in 1913. <br />T O P O G R A P H Y. <br />The eurPaoe ie rough and steep and the altitude is b.300'. <br />iThere are no atreama and but very little timber in the vicinity. <br />The Deaver, Boulder and Nestern railroad is built to Salina. <br />Colorado which is three miles •distant from the mine and a good <br />wagon road is built Prom the mine•to.the railroad. <br />~ G E O L O G Y. <br />A good geological survey has been made of the district. <br />character oP country rock is granite and the geological per- <br />god la ArahBan. <br />O R E S F: O R F. B O D I E S <br />•The ore body is a true-Fissure. There ie only one known <br />in with a strike northeast and southwest and dipping to the <br />rth. The vein varies in width From 1' to 4' with an average <br />dth of 2'. Length 200'; height 70'. There is one ore shoot b0' <br />ng. The enclosing rocks are granite and the gangue ie talc. <br />The vein Pilling is iron sulphides and quartz and the met- <br />e are gold, silver lead and zinc. About one-ha1F oP the vein <br />Lling is smelting ore and the balance ie of a concentrating <br />tore. The average monthly production oP ore ie 40 tone and the <br />valve per ton is $12.
